Frequently Asked Questions

Here are some of the most frequently asked questions our users are asking about.

Which companies are involved in this program?

  • Xaman: We provide the self-custody wallet interface and the "xApp" environment where you manage the investment.

  • Flare Network: The underlying blockchain that enables smart contracts and the FAsset system (specifically FXRP).

  • Upshift: The company that operates and manages the "earnXRP" vaults and execute the yield-generating strategies.

How are these companies working together?

Xaman acts as your "remote control". We send instructions to Flare via Flare Smart Accounts (FSA). Flare provides the "bridge" to turn your XRP into FXRP, and Upshift provides the "engine" (the vault) where that FXRP is actually deployed to earn rewards. This collaboration allows you to access Flare’s yield program without ever leaving Xaman.

Where does the yield come from?

Yield is generated from three sources within the Flare ecosystem:

  • Lending Markets: Your FXRP is lent to traders or other participants who pay interest.

  • Liquidity Provision: Your assets help facilitate trades on decentralized exchanges (DEXs), earning a portion of the trading fees.

  • FAsset Incentives: The Flare Network provides rewards to users who bridge their XRP, as it increases the network's total value and utility.

How safe is the program?

Safety is our core focus.

  • Self-Custody: You never give your private keys to a third party. You are the only one who can authorize a deposit or a withdraw.

  • Audited Contracts: The FAsset system and Upshift vaults have undergone rigorous security audits.

  • Over-collateralization: FXRP is backed by agents who lock up more value (in FLR or stablecoins) than the XRP they are bridging, providing a safety buffer.

Why should I be using Xaman and this xApp to participate in this?

Historically, earning yield on XRP meant using a centralized exchange (where you lose control of your funds) or manually bridging your assets (which is technically difficult).

Our xApp allows you to easily participate in this program without worrying to about managing a second seed phrase, about buying FLR for gas, —the xApp handles the "plumbing" for you.

What is the worst case scenario?

The primary risks are Smart Contract Risk (a bug in the code) or a massive, unprecedented "Black Swan" event on the Flare Network that causes the FAsset collateral system to fail.
