# How to Deposit XRP using the Flare xApp

How to deposit XRP using the Flare xApp

This flow converts your XRP into **FXRP** on the Flare network, where it earns yield. You will sign **two** transactions during the process.&#x20;

**Step 1 — Open the Flare xApp**&#x20;

Launch Xaman, tap the **xApp** button at the bottom of the screen, then tap **Flare XRPFi Yield**.

**Step 2 — Enter your deposit amount**&#x20;

Decide how much XRP you would like to deposit, enter the amount, and press **Request deposit**.

**Step 3 — Sign twice** You will be asked to sign **two** transactions in sequence:<br>

1. **First signature** — sends your XRP to Flare and mints FXRP on the Flare network.
2. **Press Deposit Now**, then **second signature** — deposits your FXRP into the Flare vault where it begins earning yield.

**Step 4 — Done**&#x20;

You will see a short loading screen while the deposit completes. Your FXRP is now in the vault earning yield. You can view your balance anytime in the Flare xApp.

#### What happens next?

* Your FXRP accrues yield on the Flare network.
* To withdraw, open the Flare xApp and use the **Redeem** flow (sends FXRP back to XRP in your Xaman wallet).
* Withdrawals are subject to network conditions and may take a few minutes.

#### Frequently Asked Questions

**"Why can't I deposit XRP into the fund?"**&#x20;

Common causes:

* You entered an amount below the minimum (check the field for the minimum).
* Your XRP balance is insufficient after network fees.
* The Flare vault is temporarily full (rare).

If none of those apply, [create a support ticket](https://xumm.app/detect/xapp:xumm.support) with a screenshot of the error.\ <br>

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://help.xaman.app/app/getting-started-with-xaman/using-the-flare-xapp/how-to-deposit-xrp-using-the-flare-xapp.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
