How to send XAH coins from your GateHub account to your Xahau account
This article provides instructions on how to send XAH coins from your GateHub account (Hosted, Self custodial - XRPL, or Self custodial - Xahau) to your Xahau account managed by Xaman.
If you are doing this for the first time, please be aware that every Xahau account needs to be activated with at least 1 XAH coin. If your Xahau account has not been activated yet, the first XAH coin sent to a Xahau account will be used to fulfill the base reserve requirement of the Xahau network. This process is known as 'activating an account". You can read more about this .
1) Go to the , Sign in, choose Send Payment.
2) Choose the Xahau network.
3) Enter your GateHub password (and 2FA code if applicable.)
4) A. Enter the r-address of the Xahau account you would like to send the XAH tokens to. B. Press the down arrow and select XAH (GateHub Crypto) C. Enter the amount of XAH tokens you would like to send.
5) When you're done, you should see a screen like this:
Press the Confirm button to continue.
6) Press Confirm to complete the transaction.
Yes and no.
Yes. GateHub has several different types of accounts. If you create a Xahau account on the Xahau network using the GateHub platform, you can hold XAH coins in your account.
No. If you have an XRP Ledger account or a Hosted account with GateHub, you can not hold XAH coins. Any XAH coins you send to either of these accounts are automatically converted to GateHub's issued XAH tokens. (GH-XAH). However, you can send GH-XAH tokens from your XRPL/Hosted GateHub accounts to your self-custodial Xahau account and they will be automatically converted back to XAH coins. (GateHub exchanges them for you in the background.)
Yes and No.
Yes. If you own XAH tokens issued by GateHub (GH-XAH) in your XRP Ledger account managed by Xaman (formerly Xumm), you can send them to either of your XRPL/Hosted GateHub accounts, then send them to your self-custodial Xahau account. GateHub will automatically exchange your GH-XAH into XAH coins and send them to your Xahau account.
No. If you own XAH tokens issued by GateHub (GH-XAH) in your XRP Ledger account managed by Xaman (formerly Xumm), you can not directly activate a Xahau account with them. (ie. you can not send the GH-XAH tokens directly to the Xahau network using Xaman.) You have to send your GH-XAH to your GateHub account first, then send it to your self-custodial Xahau account from there.
8) Press the three dots at the top of the screen.
9) Press the button. (Also known as the Network Switch button.)
How to activate your account on the Xahau Ledger
Having an account on the Xahau network will allow you to participate in the Xahau ecosystem. With an activated account you can, send and receive payments, place buy and sell offers on the Xahau DEX. utilize Hooks (smart contracts), create escrows, and use all of the other features that Xahau provides.
Since everything on Xahau involves having an activated account, this article explains the various way you can activate yours.
An account on Xahau is activated when a minimum of 1 XAH is sent to it. The first XAH coin is locked by the Xahau network and is used to cover the base reserve (wallet reserve) requirement of the Xahau network. It can not be accessed, spent or recovered. You can read more about Xahau reserves and how they work here:
There are five main ways to activate an account on the Xahau network:
Activate an existing XRP Ledger (XRPL) account.
Buy XAH tokens on the XRPL DEX, sending them to your GateHub account and activate your Xahau account from GateHub
Buy XAH coins/tokens on the GateHub platform and activate your Xahau from your account with them
Buy XAH coins on the Bitrue platform and activate your Xahau from your account with them.
Send XAH from another XAH account.
Many people will have an existing XRPL account managed with Xaman (formerly Xumm). If you already have an activated XRPL account managed by Xaman, you can quickly and easily activate it on the Xahau network using the Xahau Import xApp which has been specifically designed for this purpose.
The benefit of using the xApp is that it will automatically copy the settings of your current XRPL account over to the Xahau network and activate the new account with 2 free XAH coins.
That's correct. You will receive 2 free XAH coins by using the Xahau Import xApp.
There are three different XRPL account types that are relevant:
2) Buying XAH tokens on the XRPL DEX While the previous method of activating a Xahau account is by far the most popular, some people choose to manually activate their accounts with XAH purchased on the XRPL DEX.
For more information about XAH tokens on the XRPL, please refer to this article:
This method is slightly more complicated since you can not directly activate a Xahau account with XAH tokens. Instead, you need to:
1) Create an account at the GateHub exchange.
2) Send your XAH tokens to your GateHub account:
3) Activate your Xahau account from your GateHub account:
3) Buying XAH tokens/coins on the GateHub platform
The GateHub exchange supports the Xahau network. They have three different account types you can activate a Xahau account from:
an XRPL account
a hosted XRPL account
a Xahau account
You can purchase XAH coins/tokens from any of the three account types then follow the instructions in this article to If you have an XRPL account or hosted XRPL account with
4) Buy XAH coins on the Bitrue platform
5) Via another Xahau account
If you already have XAH in a Xahau account, you can send XAH coins between your accounts to activate them. This applies to your friends, family and co-workers as well. If they have a Xahau account, they can send XAH to your account to activate it. In fact, any Xahau account can be activated from any other Xahau account. They just need to send 1 XAH from it to your account.
This article explains how to do this:

How to activate a Vanity account on Xahau
You might remember when you purchased your vanity account, we configured a regular key account to sign for your vanity address then we disabled the master keys for it.
This meant that in order to sign transactions on your vanity address, you needed to have your regular key account imported into Xaman (formerly Xumm) with full access and you had to have your vanity address imported into Xaman in read only mode.
In Xaman, it would look something like this:
You may have noticed that the Vanity Account says, 'Full access" rather than 'Read only". That is because Xaman recognizes that the regular key account is present and in 'Full access" so it updates the Vanity account from 'Read only' to 'Full access'.
This processes will activate your vanity account on Xahau, activate it with 2 XAH and authorize Xaman to use the regular key account to sign for your vanity account on Xahau. It does this using an xApp called Xahau Import to create a Setregularkey transaction on the XRP Ledger, then create an Import transaction on the Xahau network. Signing both of these two transactions will duplicate your vanity account on Xahau, activate it with 2 XAH and authorize Xaman to use the regular key account to sign for your vanity account.
The following process has two requirements:
Your vanity account must imported into Xaman.
